The 2009 vintage of Vinedo Chadwick has a deep violet-ruby-red colour with an intense and complex nose that recalls red fruits such as raspberries and cherries. There are light floral notes intermingled with cassis and tobacco. The fruit character is opens up on the palate and is complemented by its excellent acidity. The result is a very fresh wine that is ample and juicy with good volume and elegant tannins that lend excellent structure complemented by a light touch of cedar, chocolate, and sweet spices. Vinedo Chadwick has a tremendous cellaring potential. This is the ultimate iconic Chilean wine, with a blend that is full-bodied with rich fruit, spicy oak, cocoa and coffee with ripe tannins, silky elegance and a lingering finish. !!<Background Information: >!!This wine is a tribute to Alfonso Chadwick Errazuriz, an influential businessman and avid sportsman who was a celebrated polo champion in Chile. He was a pioneer in the development of modern Chilean viticulture, to which he dedicated his greatest efforts. Vinedo Chadwick is located in one of the best areas of the Maipo Valley. The vineyard is densely planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Carmenere, which are carefully managed to ensure the production of the superior quality fruit. To preserve that quality, the grapes were harvested by hand during the early morning hours.
