Taylor's First Estate Reserve Port serves as the perfect introduction to Taylor's fruity, elegant and well balanced style of port. It is named to celebrate the purchase in 1744 of Taylor's first property in the Douro Valley. A blend of full bodied young red wines from Cima Corgo, mellowed by several years of maturation in oak. The resulting wine is a deep ruby colour with a powerful fruity aromas of blackcurrant, plum, and a little liquorice. A luscious texture and firm tannins bring a restrained elegance to the wine, characteristsic of the Taylor's range. |
